WHICH EVENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO AN IFP
PROGRAM?
The Industry Focused Promotion (IFP)
program is still in its evaluation phase and therefore we are willing to
consider all projects . This said, we must concentrate on projects that have the most potential in terms of
generating trade leads. The following criteria can be used as part of the
selection process :
- Level of involvement/commitment/resources
of the project team
- A trade show in the U.S., a U.S.
Export Interest Directory, an overseas trade show with a significant number
of U.S. exhibitors, the members of a U.S. trade association, etc.
- Be able to feature a minimum of 15 to
20 U.S. companies in a single industry.
- In case of a large number of featured
U.S. companies (e.g. more than 30),be able to break down the list by
sub-categories in order to improve readability.
- Ability to gather needed information
on U.S. companies under the appropriate format.
- Ability to work with show
organizers,
trade show associations, GTP, USCS team, USEACs, OIO posts.
- Level of interest of OIO posts.
The IFP
platform has been designed to support multiple countries promotions and
therefore projects that will involve many countries (e.g. worldwide, region)
will get priority.
- Capacity to access to quality
electronic email database overseas.
- Ability to partner with
foreign show organizers, local trade associations or magazines, etc. to support
international promotion.
